Ridgeback - Loki 

as well as a few other animals (see Our Family)

David and I have had dogs all our lives - Corgis, Greyhounds, Boxers and Heinz 57s.

When I met David in 1994, he had Laddie, a greyhound x black lab, who was 2 years old.  We had many great years together and Sophie, our Boxer joined our family in 1999. 

After saying goodbye to Laddie on his journey to Rainbow Bridge, we decided not to have another puppy as Sophie would teach it so many naughty tricks!  However, when Sophie joined Laddie in 2007, it took us all of 2 days in the house without a 4-legged friend to decide to look for a new family member. 

We went through all the breeds and decided on Border Terrier or Rhodesian Ridgeback.  After much debating, our journey to find a special little Ridgeback boy began.  We spent many hours surfing the internet and making numerous phone calls to breeders, Puppy Co-Ordinators, etc. and finally we found the Jengachenga Kennel...

and there it all began....... 

Kate and Gavin Lowson very kindly invited us to meet their gang (Biko, Kariba and Sani) and we instantly fell in love!
